The Vision represents a cohort of innovators who understand that food safety remains one of the most critical yet most opaque challenges in modern supply chains. At the Agentic AI Founders Hackathon—Zero to One Hack with Uttar Pradesh—these students from IMS Engineering College identified a fundamental vulnerability: consumers have no way to verify the authenticity, safety, or integrity of food products moving through fragmented, untracked supply chains.
While many hackathon projects chase novelty, The Vision chose to solve a life-critical problem. Their mission is clear and urgent: to create an immutable, transparent record of every food product's journey from farm to table—enabling consumers to make informed decisions and empowering retailers to guarantee food safety.
What are they building
Verifresh is a blockchain-based food supply chain tracking system that creates tamper-proof records documenting every stage of food product handling, storage, and transportation. By establishing verifiable provenance and safety records, Verifresh enables consumers to verify product authenticity while enabling retailers and food authorities to rapidly identify and contain contamination risks.
Unlike traditional food traceability systems—fragmented across suppliers, inaccessible to consumers, and often corrupted or falsified—Verifresh creates an immutable, transparent ecosystem where every food product tells a verifiable story of its journey.

Blockchain Product Registry: Every food item receives a unique blockchain identifier recording origin, processing, storage conditions, and transportation history in immutable records.
Temperature & Condition Monitoring: IoT sensors tracking storage temperature, humidity, and handling practices throughout the supply chain—automatically logging compliance with food safety standards.
Contamination Traceability: In cases of foodborne illness outbreaks, Verifresh enables rapid identification of affected batches, affected locations, and affected consumers—enabling targeted recalls rather than blind market-wide pullbacks.

Why are they building or to solve what?
Food safety remains a persistent public health crisis. Thousands of food poisoning incidents occur annually, often traced to compromised supply chains where contamination sources remain unknown for weeks or months.
